Anyware Trusted Zero Client 24.10

Version 24.10 of the Trusted Zero Client contains bug fixes and stability enhancements. Additionally, it also includes the following new features:

Support for Kiosk Mode

Version 24.10 of the Trusted Zero Client introduces support for connecting to remote hosts in the Kiosk Mode. Kiosk Mode is ideal for connecting to fixed-purpose devices, such as point-of-sale terminals and digital signs. When Trusted Zero Clients operate in the Kiosk mode, end-users do not need to provide their credentials, and instead, only see progress indicators while establishing connections. This enables them to bypass the traditional login steps, thus ensuring a seamless login process.

Instructions on connecting to remote hosts in Kiosk mode is available in the "Connecting to Remote Hosts in Kiosk Mode" topic in the Trusted Zero Client 24.10 Administrators' Guide.

Support for Customized Login Experience

Version 24.10 of the Trusted Zero Client supports the ability to customize the login experience. The Settings page on the client UI now has a Connections menu, with an option for enabling automatic login to Anyware Agents as well as Omnissa Horizon Agents. Additionally, users can also configure the client to remember their usernames for future connections to remote hosts.

The new Connections menu provides granular control and the ability to bypass one or more traditional login steps. This allows for a streamlines the login process and provides a personalized experience. For more information, see the "Customizing Automatic Login" topic in the Trusted Zero Client 24.10 Administrators' Guide.

Support for Saving Support Bundle to Peripheral Devices

Version 24.10 of the Trusted Zero Client comes with the ability to save support bundles to peripheral devices. When a support bundle is created this way, it is not sent to the Trust Center, and instead, you can control where it is saved. This is useful in scenarios where Trusted Zero Clients cannot connect to the Trust Center. For more information, see "Saving a Support Bundle to a Peripheral Device" in the Trusted Zero Client 24.10 Administrators' Guide.

Improved Wacom Tablet Responsiveness in High Latency Networks

Version 24.10 introduces improvements to the responsiveness of Wacom tablets tablets operating in high latency networks. For this purpose, a new variable has been introduced:

  • Improve graphics tablet responsiveness on high latency network
When this parameter is enabled, the performance and responsiveness on the locally terminated Wacom tablets is improved on networks with high latency or occasional packet drops. The parameter setting must be consistent on both clients and hosts.

This ensures that drawing on graphics tablets stays smooth and consistent, even in high-latency network environments.
