Cloud Access Connector (Ubuntu) 153
Welcome to the December 21, 2022 release of the Cloud Access Connector (Version 153). Please note that versions 148 to 152 were released internally.
At HP Inc, it is our continuous endeavour to offer high standards in our product to enable enterprise grade features and workflow. with this release, we are announcing Beta for Federated User Authentication with Anyware Manager as a Service offering that can be enabled and verified using Connector v153. The following sections highlight all the configurations for Federated User Authentication.
OAuth for User Authentication
In this release, you can configure a third-party IDP to implement OAuth and authenticate the user by enabling it in the Admin guide. This verifies user credentials and grants them access to available workstations.
Replicate OAuth Settings using Anyware Manager
When a Connector is configured with OAuth settings, that configuration can be saved to the Anyware Manager and later used to reconfigure other Connectors in the deployment. You can push and pull the saved configurations from the Anyware Manager by using the '--pull-connector-config' and '--push-connector-config' commands respectively.
Single Sign-On Configuration
In this release, you can configure the Connector to support Single Sign-On by obtaining a Certificate Authority (CA) certificate and by implementing a third-party IDP. This prevents the user from authenticating two times when trying to access remote workstations.
Certificate Signing Request by the Authentication Broker
In this release, the authentication broker uses the Windows Certificate Authority Web Enrollment service to send the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) to a Windows CA to obtain a signed user certificate locally.
End User License Agreement (EULA)
This software comes with updated license terms; by installing and using these updates you agree and accept the new license terms. For more information. see HP Anyware End User License Agreement.
