Cloud Access Connector (Ubuntu) December 21 2019

Welcome to the December 21, 2018 release of the Cloud Access Connector for Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and On-Premises. This release includes the following updates:

List of Remote Workstations is no longer limited

Previously, the list of remote workstations in Active Directory was truncated after the first 1,000. That limitation has been removed and there is now no practical limit to the number of AD workstations in the interface.

Connector installation can now proceed even after a failed installation attempt

Previously, if an installation attempt failed, subsequent installation attempts would fail. That issue has been fixed. There are now two ways to force an installation to proceed:

  • Run the installer normally. If an existing connector is detected, you will be prompted to delete and replace it.
  • Run the installer with the --force-install option. The existing connector will be replaced with no confirmation step.

Cloud Access Connector now remains operational in a High Availability setup where one Domain Controller is inaccessible

If one of the Domain Controllers in a High Availability configured Active Directory is inaccessible, the Cloud Access Connector for GCP, AWS and on-premises will continue to work.
