Release Notes
Cloud Access Connector (Ubuntu) October 2018
Welcome to the November 2, 2018 release of the Cloud Access Connector for Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and On-Premises. This release includes the following updates:
New Cloud Access Connector diagnostic tool
To verify whether the Cloud Access Connector can successfully communicate with the AD, SSH into the Cloud Access Connector VM and run the following command:
sudo ./cloud-access-connector diagnose --ad
To verify whether the Cloud Access Connector can successfully communicate with the remote workstation, SSH into the Cloud Access Connector VM and run the following command:
sudo ./cloud-access-connector diagnose --rw <RemoteWorkstationFQDN>
Renamed deploy command to install
When installing the Cloud Access Connector for GCP, AWS and On-Prem, one of the command options has changed.
The ./cloud-access-connector deploy
command has been renamed to ./cloud-access-connector install
Cloud Access Connector no longer displays "Workstation Configurations" or "Azure API" when not on Azure
The Management Interface now only displays "Workstation Configurations" and "Azure API" when connected to an Azure environment. When connecting to other environments, these terms do not appear.
Management Interface can now display more than 1000 AD users
The Management Interface can now display all AD users. Previously, the interface would only display the first 1000.
Secondary domain controllers can now be used as backups
If the primary domain controller fails, the Cloud Access Connector can now switch automatically to other domain controllers in that domain. Previously, if the domain controller being used by the Cloud Access Connector failed, PCoIP connections could not be started.
To gain this functionality, a new Cloud Access Connector must be installed. During installation, you'll be asked for the domain name; the installer no longer prompts you for the domain controller's FQDN.
