Connection Manager and Security Gateway 21.01
Release Overview
The PCoIP Connection Manager and Security Gateway 21.01 is a combined release containing:
- PCoIP Connection Manager 21.01.0
- PCoIP Security Gateway 21.01.0
The Connection Manager and Security Gateway are infrastructure components used in the Teradici All Access solution.
These release notes provide a summary of key feature additions, compatibility notes, resolved issues, and known issues for this release.
What’s New in This Release
Security updates, enhancements and bug fixes
Added support for RHEL/CentOS 8
The PCoIP Connection Manager and Security Gateway package has been updated to work on RHEL/CentOS 8.
Security Gateway performance increase to up to 1100Mbit/s
This release of the Security Gateway has improved performance over previous releases. See the System Limits section of the Administrators' Guide for details on performance improvements and scenarios.
Instructions and support for offline installation
Documentation has been added for preparing the virtual machine for an offline or "dark-site" installation.
TLS 1.1 disabled by default
TLS 1.1 is now disabled by default. Instructions to re-enable it are available in the Reference section of the Administrators' Guide.
Support for CentOS 7 Removed
The PCoIP Connection Manager and Security Gateway no longer supports CentOS 7.
Instructions updated to use dnf instead of yum for package management steps
Package management now uses dnf instead of yum.
Important Notes and Requirements
- PCoIP Connection Manager 21.01 is available as an RPM deliverable that includes version 21.01.0 of the PCoIP Security Gateway. Two deliverables accompany the RPM:
- Third-Party Dependencies RPM
- Installation script
- The Third-Party Dependencies RPM must be installed before the PCoIP Connection Manager and Security Gateway RPM. For convenience, the installation script will install:
- Third-Party Dependencies RPM
- Additional dependencies
- PCoIP Connection Manager/Security Gateway RPM
