Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux 24.10.1
Important Notes
- Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux is used to provide additional features when a Remote Workstation Card is installed in a host PC/workstation using a Linux 64-bit operating system.
- Remote Workstation Card Software should not be installed while in a PCoIP session with the host.
- We cannot guarantee the software will work on all Linux distributions. See Tested Linux Distributions to identify which Linux distributions the Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux was tested with.
- Source code is provided to allow customers to try to incorporate the Remote Workstation Card Software into their particular Linux distributions.
This version of the Remote Workstation Host Software for Linux contains bug fixes, stability enhancements, and maintains version parity with Remote Workstation Card Firmware version 24.10. Additionally, the following new feature is supported:
Support for RHEL/Rocky Linux 9
Version 24.10 of the Remote Workstation Card Firmware now supports RHEL and Rocky Linux 9.
There are no fixed issues in this release.
USB Drive Issues When connecting Anyware Clients to Remote Workstation Card in a Linux Workstation
When connecting to a Remote Workstation Card on a Linux workstation using the Anyware Software Client, USB drives do not show up on the list of connected devices in the PCoIP session.
Lock desktop upon session termination does not work
The "Lock host PC upon session termination" feature does not work. The desktop is not locked after session termination.
Upon installation of host software, manually copy pcoiphostswglobal.conf from the installer /kernel/linux/scripts folder to the /etc folder.
Client keyboard repeat detection cannot be disabled
Remote Workstation Card Software Keyboard Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate is always used even if the "Enable Client Keyboard Repeat Detection" is unchecked.
New Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux configuration file is not compatible with versions 23.01.0 and older
After uninstalling Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux 23.01.1 and installing an older version, users are unable to start the PCoIP session due to an incompatibility with the new configuration file /etc/pcoiphostswglobal.conf.
Upon installation of Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux, manually copy pcoiphostswglobal.conf from the installer /kernel/linux/scripts folder to the /etc folder.
