Important Notes and Requirements
- Remote Workstation Card Software for Windows is used to provide additional features when a Remote Workstation Card is installed in a host PC/workstation using a Windows 64-bit operating system.
- Remote Workstation Card Software should not be installed while in a PCoIP session with the host.
- The installer will generate an error if it is executed on an unsupported Windows OS.
PCoIP Remote Workstation Card Software for Windows contains bug fixes and stability enhancements. It also maintains version parity with Remote Workstation Card Firmware version 25.03. and maintains version parity with Remote Workstation Card Firmware version 25.03. Additionally, the following new features are supported:
Product Name Change Announcement
Teradici Remote Workstation Card Software is renamed as Anyware Remote Workstation Card Software with this release. This name change is reflected on the Start Menu, Desktop shortcuts, and client interface. The name of the client executable, file locations, and registry key names will remain unchanged.
Rebranding Announcement
To align with the VMware End-User Computing rebranding to Omnissa, VMware components will be renamed as Omnissa. This change will reflect in the logo and client interface.
There are no fixed issues for this release.
USB Drive Issues when Connecting Anyware Client to Remote Workstation Card in a Linux Workstation
When connecting to a Remote Workstation Card on a Linux workstation using the Anyware Software Client, USB drives do not show up on the list of connected devices in the PCoIP session.
Lock desktop upon session termination does not work
The "Lock host PC upon session termination" feature does not work. The desktop is not locked after session termination.
Upon installation of host software, manually copy pcoiphostswglobal.conf from the installer /kernel/linux/scripts folder to the /etc folder.
Client keyboard repeat detection cannot be disabled
Remote Workstation Card Software Keyboard Repeat Delay and Repeat Rate is always used even if the "Enable Client Keyboard Repeat Detection" is unchecked.
New Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux configuration file is not compatible with versions 23.01.0 and older
After uninstalling Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux 23.01.1 and installing an older version, users are unable to start the PCoIP session due to an incompatibility with the new configuration file /etc/pcoiphostswglobal.conf.
Upon installation of Remote Workstation Card Software for Linux, manually copy pcoiphostswglobal.conf from the installer /kernel/linux/scripts folder to the /etc folder.
