Support for Virtual Channel Plugin Signature Verification
In version 25.06, support has been added for optional enhanced signature verification of virtual channel plugins.
For this purpose, two new parameters have been introduced:
-
Enable vchan plugin signature verification
: This parameter enables the ability of the agent to verify virtual channel plugin digital signatures. When enabled, Anyware Windows agents verify the digital signatures of virtual channel plugins used between Anyware Windows clients and Windows agents respectively. Unsigned plugins are prevented from loading. It is disabled by default. -
Vchan plugin signature verification exception list
: This parameter allows specific virtual channel plugins to be exempted from the signature verification process. WhenEnable vchan plugin signature verification
is enabled and plugins are specified in the exception list, Anyware agents will allow those plugins to load, even if they aren't signed.
The ability to configure the signature verification process for virtual channel plugins enhances the security of your HP Anyware deployment. For more information, see the Configuration Guide.
Changes to Google Cloud Platform Support
Starting with 25.06, HP Anyware will not be tested on Google Cloud Platform. However, it is expected to remain fully functional.
Upcoming Changes to VChan Support
Support for the 32-bit VChan SDK will be removed in future releases. Going ahead, Windows agents will only support the 64-bit VChan architecture.
Info
Windows 10 will reach end-of-life in October, 2025. As a result, HP Anyware 25.06 will be the last version for Windows 10, which will be replaced with support for Windows 10 Professional LTSC in the next release.
