Does PCoIP support moving between subnets in a wireless environment?

PCoIP environments implementing newer versions of PCoIP, such as Cloud Access Software, support changing of the PCoIP Software Clients IP address as long as the PCoIP Agent IP is still reachable. This allows PCoIP Software Clients to roam from wireless to wireless, Ethernet to wireless and other technologies such as 4G mobile. Users will no longer be disconnected when undocking their laptop or switching networks.

Other PCoIP environments such as VMware Horizon View do not support moving from one subnet to another without a disconnect. However, some wireless deployments use access point roaming (layer 2 roaming) allowing for spanning wireless black spots within the same subnet. As a user moves about the coverage area, one access point hands off to another access point as needed to support communications maintaining the same IP address.
