End-of-Life Details: Tera1 Firmware
Overview
This article provides notification that Teradici has begun the End-of-Life (EOL) process for Firmware for Tera1.
This EOL notification applies to both Tera1 PCoIP Zero Clients and Tera1 PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards.
Tera1-based products have enjoyed an eight (8)-year-long service life in Remote Workstation or VMware Horizon deployments. However, the Tera1 processors have now reached the end of their product life cycle and have also reached the limit on new features that can be added due to insufficient available memory.

End-of-Life (EOL) Notification | Notification of EOL provided through Teradici\u2019s Technical Support portal. Tera1 firmware releases will not include development for new platform version support or features. Firmware updates will only be provided to address issues deemed critical by Teradici for Tera1 against supported platform. | April 21, 2015 |
Start of Technical Guidance | No additional firmware updates or maintenance releases for Tera1 products after this date. | April 30, 2016 |
End-of-Support | The last day in which Teradici Technical Support can answer questions, assist in finding workarounds or provide development guidance. | December 31, 2016 |

Compatibility Information
- Tera1 Remote Workstation Cards on firmware 4.7.1 are compatible with Tera2 Zero Clients on the latest Zero Client firmware.
- Tera1 Zero Clients on firmware 4.7.3 are compatible with Tera2 Remote Workstation Cards on the latest Remote Workstation Card firmware.
