The PCoIP Host Software generates and stores logs.

Windows

  • Windows XP:

    <Drive Letter>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Teradici Corporation\PCoIP Host Software\Logs

  • Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.1, Windows 10:

    <Drive Letter>:\ProgramData\Teradici Corporation\PCoIP Host Software\Logs

Additional debugging

In older versions of the PCoIP Host software for windows, more detailed debugging logs maybe needed using the following procedure.

In rare cases the PCoIP Host Software may crash when starting up or during use. When debugging this type of issue, it is recommended that the debug log files (see User Guide for Host Software ) be used for troubleshooting.

In some cases you may want to capture the logs the host software generates to the native operating system. The logs can be accessed by the DebugView application, which runs on the host computer and can be downloaded from the following Microsoft web site:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647

Note: This should not be required, but may be valuable in some cases.

After downloading DebugView, start the application on the host and ensure the program is \u201Crun as administrator\u201D to gather kernel messages from the host software driver. When configured properly, messages are written to the log at least once a second.

While DebugView is running, reproduce the problem and provide as much detail as possible regarding what happened at different times during the test (ex. black screen appeared at time xx:yy:zz). After running the test, copy the messages in the DebugView window to a file and provide them to your support representative.
