In Windows 7 environments where a touchscreen monitor uses the onscreen keyboard, consider enabling CTRL+ALT+ DEL, also known as the Secure Attention Sequence (SAS):

  1. Log in to the remote workstation or virtual desktop with the appropriate privileges to make GPO changes.
  2. Click Start.
  3. Type gpedit.msc in the "Search for programs and files" field and press Enter.
  4. In the left section browse to the following location:
    Local computer Policy > computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Logon Options
  5. In the right pane, double-click Disable or enable software Secure Attention Sequence.
  6. Click Enabled in the pop up window that appeared (The Options pane is now configurable).
  7. From the drop down list select Ease of Access applications.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Close the Local Group Policy Editor.
