Is it possible to direct connect to a virtual desktop without going through a broker?

When using HP Anyware, you can connect directly to the Virtual Machine without using a broker. Simply type in the IP address or Fully Qualified Domain Name of the machine into the client.

When using VMware Horizon View, any View Client (PCoIP zero client or software client) can connect directly to a Horizon View desktop without using View Connection Server/broker, by installing and configuring the View Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In.
