We’re pleased to announce the release of PCoIP Zero Client Firmware 6.4.0

6.4.0 is release with security updates, bug fixes and new features:

This PCoIP Zero Client Firmware 6.4.0 has been pre-certified against VMware Horizon 7.9.

Note: Teradici only performs “pre-certification”. Zero Client manufacturers will take their Zero Client models through the certification process with VMware.

  • New Smart Cards:
  • Gemalto MD830 Level 3.
  • Gemalto MD830 Level 2 with Secure Messaging Enabled.
  • Pre-session Smart Card support when connecting to Cloud Access Software (CAS) or PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards. – this feature still in BETA
  • Zero Client can use smart cards for authentication with Leostream broker using the PCoIP Broker Protocol.
  • The Leostream Broker supports both Cloud Access Software (CAS) and PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards.
  • Supported with PCoIP Zero Client firmware 6.4 and Leostream version 9.0.35 beta (Contact Leostream for details on their generally available release). Once we have a released and tested version of the Leostream Broker with this feature, we will remove the Beta status.
  • Please note that at this stage Smart Cards can not be used for single sign-on (SSO). This feature is currently in development.
  • Fixed reader compatibility issues for Oberthur v8 PIV 2.4.x Smart Cards on Horizon
  • The following card readers all work: Omnikey 3021, Omnikey 3121, Omnikey 5421, SCR331, PC USB-TR.
  • Security related changes:
  • By default, the Administrative Web Interface (AWI) is disabled. To enable it, please read instructions here.
  • By default, SLP discovery is disabled.
  • Other fixed issues:
  • Nessus SLP scan no longer resets Zero Client.
  • Zero Client no longer resets when connecting to a VCS with smart card authentication required and disclaimer enabled, if smart card is not inserted.
