What are the factory default network settings for PCoIP Zero Clients and PCoIP Remote Workstation Cards?

An OEM may change the factory default network settings. Please refer to your OEM's manual for detailed information. Most devices generally have the following factory default network settings:

• DHCP enabled
• Fallback IP address (PCoIP Remote Workstation Card): 192.168.1.100
• Fallback IP address (PCoIP Zero Client): 192.168.1.50
• Fallback subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
• Fallback gateway: 192.168.1.1

PCoIP Remote Workstation Card (host card) and PCoIP Zero Client network interfaces are set to DHCP client mode by default. If your network does not have a DHCP server, the PCoIP Remote Workstation Card and PCoIP Zero Client falls back to static IP address mode after a 2-minute timeout. The timer starts when the network interface links up.

For example, if a PCoIP Zero Client and a switch are connected by an Ethernet cable, the PCoIP Zero Client tries to obtain a dynamic IP address from the DHCP server. If it fails to get one in approximately two minutes, it falls back to the static IP address of 192.168.1.50. You can then access the Administrative Web Interface using the fallback IP address to assign a different static IP address to the PCoIP Zero Client.

Notes:

We recommended using DHCP for deployment and that the fallback static IP address is not intended for normal operation. If using static IP addressing, once a PCoIP Zero Client or PCoIP Remote Workstation Card falls back to static IP address, you should immediately access the Administrative Web Interface to turn off DHCP and set the static IP address of the PCoIP Zero Client or PCoIP Remote Workstation Card to a static address applicable to your network.

The fallback counter does not start until network link is up and that the device does not fall back to static IP address until the fallback counter timeout.
