Why are some Tera2 PCoIP Zero Clients showing the Online status as "False" in PCoIP Management Console 2.x and 3.x?

Knowledge Base Article Troubleshooting Management Management Console Zero Clients

This indicates that the Tera 2 PCoIP Zero Client is not being managed by the PCoIP Management Console and can be one of several reasons:

  • Not powered on
  • Firmware has been downgraded to 4.x so no longer manageable by PCoIP Management Console 2.x and 3.x
  • NTP time not set and PCoIP Zero Client is getting cached time that is prior to valid certificate date.

To resolve this issue ensure the Tera2 PCoIP Zero Client is powered on and running firmware 5.x or newer. You may want to check either the PCoIP Zero Client log file or the Management page, both can be done from the web interface of the PCoIP Zero Client.

In the log file below notice that the Current time is the last cached time and it is prior to the valid date of the certificate....

In the above example simply setting NTP time resolved the issue.
