Installing the Anyware Software Client for Linux

This topic contains instructions for installing the Anyware Software Client for Linux.

Before you begin, ensure that you have administrator privileges on the machine where you want to install the client.

The Zoom VDI Plugin is now included with the Anyware client package. Perform step 3 to opt out of installing the Zoom VDI Plugin.

  1. Install the Software Client for Linux repository, using the script on our download site.

    teradici-repo Package

    If you do not install the teradici-repo package then you will not be able to successfully install the Anyware Software Client. You may be experiencing this issue if you see an error message stating Unable to locate Anyware-client. Please ensure you download and install the repo.

  2. Install the Anyware Software Client for Linux by running the following command:

    sudo apt install pcoip-client
    
  3. (Optional) To opt out of installing the Zoom VDI Plugin, use the --no-install-recommends flag while installing Anyware client:

    sudo apt install --no-install-recommends pcoip-client
    
  4. Launch the pcoip-client to create default configuration files and then quit the client.

Refer to the reference section for additional information, such as Disabling the Virtual Terminal Functionality and configuring Linux Keyboard Shortcuts.

Installing the Software Client in Silent Mode

To install the Anyware Client for Linux in silent mode, use the following command:

sudo apt install -y <pcoip-client deb package>

Important: Post Installation Configuration

After the installation completes, tune the kernel networking configuration.
