The video below explains the steps to activate licenses on the Local License Server using both offline and online methods, and the steps to license PCoIP Agents using either Cloud Licensing model or the Local License Server model. Installing Local License Server (Not Shown in the Video)

System Requirements for deploying LLS Refer to the following link for the System Requirements. 

Offline Local License Server A PCoIP License Server that has no connection to the outside internet is considered to be in an offline environment (this scenario is also often referred to as a dark site). Since the PCoIP License Server cannot reach the internet, both software installation and license management must be done indirectly, via a separate internet-connected machine.

Install Offline Local License Server: Refer to the following link for instruction to install offline local license server.

Online Local License Server A PCoIP License Server that has a connection to the outside internet is considered to be an online environment. Since the PCoIP License Server can reach the internet, both software and license management can be done directly and no other resources are required.

Activating Licenses in Offline Environment (Additional Information)

The video above discusses one way of activating licenses in offline environment (which requires to open a support ticket). If you do not want to create a support ticket, please refer to the steps on the following page, activate licenses in offline environment. 
 

Licensing PCoIP Agents Using Proxy (Not Shown in the Video)

If you are using a Proxy Server, use the following commands to register the agent.

  • Cloud License Server:

"C:\Program Files\Teradici\PCoIP Agent\pcoip-register-host.ps1" [‑ProxyServer <String>] [‑ProxyPort <String>] ‑RegistrationCode <String> [<CommonParameters>]

  • -RegistrationCode sets the registration code to use.
  • -ProxyServer sets the address of your proxy server, if you have one.
  • -ProxyPort sets the port number of your proxy server, if you have one.

 

  • Local License Server: 

"C:\ProgramFiles\Teradici\PCoIPAgent\pcoip-validate-license.ps1" ‑LicenseServerUrl <license-server-address> [‑ThroughProxyServer <proxy-server-address>] [‑ProxyPort <proxy port>]
