Configuring Soft Clients

PCoIP clients can be configured to allow you to set different user options, performance modes or trigger other important actions. In order to configure a client, you must launch it either on the command line or via a URI.  To configure the PCoIP Client, follow the instructions for your OS:

 

USB Settings

The following variables can be used for different USB settings

  • Vidpid Auto-forward
  • USB Auto-forward
  • Vidpid Black List
  • Disable USB

 

Log Settings

You can configure the client logs like set the log ID, log level, or the location of the logs by configuring the following variables,

  • Log Folder
  • Log Prefix
  • Log Level
  • Log ID

 

Security Settings

You can control the security mode for validating connections by the following variable,

  • Security Mode

 

Resolution and Display Settings

You can configure the resolution and display settings from the following variables

  • Force Native Resolution
  • Set Host Resolution
  • Disable Menu Bar
  • Fullscreen Mode
  • Windowed Mode
  • Enable Scaling


Configuring Zero Clients

Settings on the Zero Client can be configured by using either the OSD (On Screen Display) or the AWI (Administrative Web Interface). Another way to configure these settings is by using the PCoIP Management Console. Refer to the Zero Client Configuration Guide to learn when and how to configure the Zero Client.
