About Session History Logs

A session history log is a detailed record of all incoming and outgoing connections to the machines associated with a tenant. Session history logs help track network activity, and becomes invaluable for troubleshooting common network issues. For example, downtime caused by network issues is recorded in the session history logs. This information is useful in pinpointing the root cause of the issue.

Session history logs capture the following information:

  • Machine

    The name of the machine associated with the log entry.

  • User

    The user associated with the log entry.

  • Connection Type

    The type of the connection.

  • Initial gateway

    The first gateway through which this connection was routed.

  • Duration

    The duration for which the connection was active.

  • Start time

    Represents the time when the connection was initiated.

  • end time

    Represents the time when the connection was terminated.

  • Status

    The status of the connection.
