About Power Management

The Machines page supports the ability to remotely power on virtual machines. The page also contains details about the machines that are associated with the tenant.

Note: Tiles Displayed in Machines

There are four different tiles available in the Machines tab namely: Running, Preparing, Creating and Stopped. Each tile box displays a count for the administrator's reference. For example, the count in the Running tile indicates the number of machines running currently.

The following details are available on this page:

  • Status

The Status column displays the status of machines.

    • Running: The machines that are currently active.

    • Preparing: The machines that are currently being provisioned.

    • Creating: The machines for which preparation is initiated.

    • Stopped: The machines that are currently not active.

  • Machine Name

The name of the machine. Each machine in the Name column is identified by its unique alphanumeric code. The Name column lists all the machines irrespective of their status.

  • Device Type

This indicates the type of machine, example, VDI. You can sort this list in an ascending or descending order.

  • Pool

The pool to which machine belongs. A pool is a set of machines that can be assigned to users in a one-to-one relationship.

  • Site

The site with which machine is associated. A site represents a geographical region associated with a tenant.

  • Assigned user

The user currently assigned to this machine. At present, only persistent assignment (one-to-one relationship) is supported.

Info

Organization administrator account holders can remotely operate machines associated with all tenants, while tenant administrator accounts can only do this for machines of the tenant they have rights to.

Info

Only persistent user—machine mapping is supported.
