Adding a Registered Device Tenant¶
A tenant of the registered device type is a logical entity that refers to a workstation that is already set up in customer environments.
A registered device does not have to be provisioned, but requires additional configuration:
- Sites to define the "type" of compute resources, and
- Pools to control aspects such as VM creation and user—machine assignment rules.
Adding a registered device is a two-step process:
-
Register the device using the installation command to add it to Anyware Manager Enterprise, and
-
Entitle a user to access the registered device. Entitlement can be Automatic or Manual.
Before you Begin¶
Make sure that you have the following details handy:
-

Registering the Workstation¶
The enrolment commands generated at the time of associating a pool is used to deploy Anyware Agents on the workstations that belong to the pool. Anyware Manager Enterprise can then control remote access and user assignment for these workstations.

Enrolment commands can be generated by navigating to the registered devices pool, and clicking Generate command under Enrolment commands of the pool details page.

Run these commands on the workstation to install the Anyware agent.
Once installed, the workstation will appear under Machines on the pool detail page.
