Adding a VMware Site

A sites represents a physical location as well as the "type" of compute resources. The type of site dictates the type of machines that Anyware Manager Enterprise will assign. When you select a VMware site, Anyware Manager Enterprise will assign vSphere VMs for that site.

The following restrictions apply to the user accounts performing this operation:

  • Organization Administrators can add sites to all tenants.
  • Tenant Administrators and Organization Users can add sites to tenants assigned to them.

  1. From the Tenants page, click the tenant to which you want to add a site.

  2. Go to Manage > Sites.

  3. Click +Add site.

  4. On the Add new site pop-up, select Blank.

  5. On the Select site type dialog, select VMware, and click Next.

  6. On the Add site page, provide the details listed below. Use the Next button to advance the wizard.

    • Enter site name: Type a name for the site and click Next. The name of the site cannot contain spaces or special characters.

    • Select location: Select the preferred geography and region for this site.

    • Enter vCenter Site Details: Provide the vCenter URL and credentials, and click Validate credentials.

    • Select directory service: Provide either the credentials to the Entra ID or the Active Directory that you want to associate with this site.

  7. Click Create site.
