Adding a VMware Tenant¶
This topic contains instructions for adding a VMware tenant.
Before you Begin¶
Make sure that you have the following details handy:

License registration code emailed from us in the form of ABCDEF1234@AB12-C345-D67E-89FG
-
vCenter credentials
-
Datastore details
Procedure¶

Log on the Anyware Manager Enterprise.

Navigate to the tenant dashboard by clicking Tenants in the left navigation pane.

Click + Add tenant.

On the Add Tenant page, select VMware. The Enter tenant details window appears.
Info
The tenant type refers to the type of site, and not the type of tenant. After onboarding, you can add additional sites of either type to the tenant if needed.

Under Tenant Details, provide the following demographic details:
- Location preferences: Provide the Preferred geography and Preferred region for your tenant.
- Anyware registration details: Provide the Registration code, Tenant ID, and Tenant name.

Click Next.

On step II of the wizard, install vSphere conductor:

Click Copy command to copy the installation command to clipboard.

Use this command to install vSphere conductor.

Click Next.

Under Validate Anyware vCenter, ensure that the vCenter account details are populated.

Click Validate credentials to validate the vCenter URL and credentials.

(Optional) If Active Directory is available for your vCenter setup, then the Active Directory credentials will be populated under Active directory service account details. Click Validate credentials to validate the credentials

Click Next.

Under Enter vCenter Site Details, provide the following details: Site name, Folder, Hosts or clusters, and vSphere resource pool.

Under Datastore details, select the data sources where the VM files will be stored.

Click Submit.
If you have followed the steps correctly, you will see a confirmation message on the screen that the tenant has been added successfully.
Fixing Common Onboarding Errors¶
If you encounter errors during the onboarding, it is likely because of the following:
- vSphere conductor installation errors, or
- Incorrect vCenter details.
To resolve this issue, go back to the previous step and do one of the following:
- Ensure that the vSphere conductor is installed correctly, or
- Make sure you provided the correct vCenter details.
