Perpetual vs Subscription-based Licensing¶

When a device has a perpetual Thin Client Access license, the PCoIP Client will continue to operate for the life of the hardware device unless the devices gets a factory reset, at which point the OEM, or Teradici, makes the decision to request or re-issue the license for that device.

When a device has subscription-based Thin Client Access license, the PCoIP Client will only operate for the term of the subscription. Subscription terms are for 1, 3 and 5 year terms. Teradici Customer/Partner Support and PCoIP Software Client upgrades are included in the subscription-based license for the duration of the term.
