Assigning Friendly Name to the Broker Address Cache List¶
The Friendly Name feature is supported on Zero Client devices starting with firmware version 25.06. You can now assign a friendly name to the Broker Cache address.
Starting with MC 25.06, you can also edit and remove entries in the Broker Addresses Cache List from the MC Profile page.
Friendly Name Supported Session Connection Types¶
The friendly name is supported for the following connection types starting with Firmware version 25.06:
- Auto Detect
- PCoIP Connection Manager
- PCoIP Connection Manager + Auto-Logon
- View Connection Server
- View Connection Server + Auto-Logon
Create New Profile for Friendly Name¶
To create a new profile for friendly name, follow these steps:

Click PROFILE, and then select NEW PROFILE.

Go to Session > Advanced.

Choose the Session Connection type.

Scroll to the Broker Address Cache List setting, and select it.

Add the broker address cache and friendly name in the appropriate fields.

To add entries individually, use the ADD button for each entry.
- The Broker address cache must meet the below requirements:
- Value must not be empty
- Value must match the correct broker address pattern

orhttps://172.168.1.1:80
- Duplicate broker address values are not allowed.
- The Friendly names must meet the below requirements:
- Friendly name must not contain more than 32 characters.
- Duplicate friendly names values are not allowed.
- Friendly name can be empty.
- The Broker address cache must meet the below requirements:

After you add the broker address cache and assign a friendly name, the EDIT button appears. You can then modify both the broker address cache and the friendly name.

Use the REMOVE button to remove an individual entry.

Save the profile.

Apply the profile to the Zero Client group.
Editing a Profile:¶
To edit an existing profile:
- Select the profile you want to edit.
- Click EDIT.
- View, edit, or remove the broker address cache and the friendly name.
