Connecting to a Zoom Meeting¶
By default, the Zoom Plugin is automatically launched on the client machine every time a session is initiated. Once launched, the Zoom Plugin connects to the Zoom VDI Client on the Horizon agent to render Zoom meetings.
Validating the Installation¶
-
Reboot the agent machine after successful installation of the plugin. This step is mandatory.
-
To check if the plugin is installed properly and if it's connected, navigate to Settings > Statistics > VDO. The VDI tab should reflect the VDI Plugin status as Connected. If you do not see ths status as Connected, reboot the system and repeat the process.
.
Creating or Joining a Zoom Meeting¶
-
From the client machine, start a session with the agent machine on which Zoom VDI is installed.
Note: Use the Correct Application
If your agent machine also has the standard Zoom application, make sure that you select Zoom VDI, and NOT Zoom.
-
Go to Connection > USB Devices > click Disconnect next to the webcam to be used for the meeting to disconnect the it from the in-session menu.
Info: Disconnect Webcam from Forwarding
Trusted Zero Client automatically forwards USB non-HID devices (webcams). To ensure that the webcam is available for the zoom meeting on the Trusted Zero Client, it is essential to prevent it from being forwarded to the host.
-
Start the Zoom VDI application on the agent machine.
-
Create or join a meeting, as you would while using the standard Zoom application. For more information, see the Zoom Getting Started Guide.
-
Select the audio and video device of your choice. The audio and video devices connected to the client are enumerated in the Zoom VDI App.
-
To disconnect the webcam, navigate to Connection > USB Devices > and click Disconnect next to the webcam that is used for the Zoom VDI Client meeting video. Always disconnect the webcam from the in-session menu.
Note: Disconnecting the Zoom Session
The Zoom Plugin disconnects from the Zoom VDI Client when the session is disconnected.
