Working with HP Anyware
   Back to main
HP Anyware is the enterprise software that IT needs to keep people and teams productive with secure access to their digital workspaces from any mix of infrastructure (cloud, data center, edge, workstation) and end-user device (PC, Mac, laptop, tablet, thin and zero client), anywhere.

Anyware* for Omnissa Horizon 8 with PCoIP® Ultra performance is now generally available, allowing Horizon users to continue to leverage world-class remoting performance. The highly anticipated feature, which seamlessly brokers connectivity to HP Anyware within the Horizon environment, is available as part of the HP Anyware 24.07 software release, along with Trusted Zero Client support for the Blast Extreme protocol.

The collaboration between HP Anyware and Omnissa provides additional options and flexibility to the Horizon ecosystem, including access to the latest PCoIP Ultra performance features, to meet the needs of the most demanding graphics-intensive applications. HP Anyware also gives users the ability to remote to their preferred operating systems (Windows®, macOS® and Linux®); collaborate and share a desktop in real-time from anywhere; peripheral compatibility, such as Wacom tablets; and flexibility around cloud, workstations, hybrid, and virtual deployments.

For IT decision makers, the ability to leverage the cloud-based Horizon Control Plane as a single management plane for both productivity and high-performance users is a significant benefit that simplifies provisioning and image management.

“The ability to broker connectivity to HP Anyware and access PCoIP Ultra performance is yet another crucial development for our customers to meet the needs of users working with graphic-intensive applications,” said Arindam Nag, VP of Products at Omnissa. “Horizon users running high-performance workloads, like high frame rate streams and GPU-accelerated content on their HP Anyware endpoints, will continue to benefit from our collaboration with HP.”

“We’re working closely with our partners and customers to ensure HP Anyware provides a rich experience for virtual desktop, cloud desktop, remote workstation and secure endpoint users,” said Mirela Cunjalo, Product Manager for HP Anyware. “We encourage Horizon users to try this latest functionality and see the exceptional performance of PCoIP Ultra for themselves.”

Trusted Zero Client support for the Blast Extreme protocol

Secure endpoints are another area of collaboration for HP and Omnissa. Support for Horizon and the Blast Extreme protocol is now available, providing the hardened security value that existing Tera2 PCoIP Zero Client customers enjoy in the latest zero client architecture.

Next-generation Trusted Zero Clients are designed with zero trust architecture security features and take advantage of HP Anyware Trust Center , a zero-trust policy engine. “Trusted Zero Clients provide a new level of Zero Trust device security to improve cybersecurity posture and build a foundation for corporate-wide trusted digital workspaces,” said Arjen van der Meulen, Product Manager for HP Anyware Trust Center. “This collaboration with Omnissa enables IT teams leveraging Blast Extreme to incorporate a zero-trust architecture into the endpoint management strategy.”

Next-generation Trusted Zero Clients , supporting both PCoIP and Blast protocols and managed by the Anyware Trust Center, are available from HP and our partners 10ZiG , ClearCube , Atrust, Amulet Hotkey and NCS.

Benefits of PCoIP technology

PCoIP technology delivers truly lossless support with bit-exact color accuracy and preservation of content detail, vital in many industries such as media & entertainment, architecture, engineering & construction, healthcare, manufacturing & design, and oil & gas. Unlike other protocols, PCoIP uses precise build-to-lossless capability to deliver the highest frame rates, even at 4K/UHD resolution, without greedy bandwidth consumption.
