Updating the macOS Graphics Agent

To update the Graphics Agent for macOS to a new version, obtain the new installer and run it in place to replace the older version. Your configuration settings will be preserved.

Note: About Permissions

In versions prior to 23.08, the macOS agent package created the PCoIP Agent app on Mac machines. Therefore, Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions were granted to PCoIP Agent. The macOS agent package now creates the Anyware Agent Helper app instead of the PCoIP Agent app. After upgrading to version 23.08 or higher, you will see both the apps -- PCoIP Agent and Anyware Agent Helper -- in your permissions settings. Permissions can be safely deleted for the PCoIP Agent app. Since the permissions are not automatically applied to Anyware Agent Helper, they must be granted again.

Before you Upgrade

Before you upgrade the macOS agent, make sure that you complete the tasks described in Installation Prerequisites.

Important: Disconnect from Active PCoIP Sessions

Performing the Upgrade

You can perform the upgrade either:

Important: Upgrading from version 23.06

After an upgrade from version 23.06 completes, the mouse pointer on the agent machine might disappear. To fix this issue, reboot the agent machine.
