Software Client for Linux 22.07

The PCoIP Software Client for Linux 22.07 introduces the following features and enhancements:

  • HP Anyware: With this release, Teradici CAS is now HP Anyware. HP Anyware brings Teradici CAS and ZCentral Remote Boost together into a single solution, starting with enhancements for the collaboration feature.

  • Collaboration Enhancements: There are two major improvements to collaboration in this release:

    • The PCoIP Client for Software Client for Linux now supports GPU Offload and Auto Offload PCoIP Ultra modes in collaboration sessions, if the connected PCoIP agent also supports them.

    • Mouse visibility has also been added in this release; Guest collaborators can now see the host's cursor movements during a collaboration session.

  • URI-launched session configuration improvements: When launching the Software Client for Linux via a URI, you can now use most of the same properties available to command-line launches in your JWT payload. For more information, see Command Line Parameters.

Keyboard and Mouse Freeze when Connected to Remote Workstation Card in Windowed Mode

Keyboard and Mouse can freeze when connected to a Remote Workstation Card while the Soft Client is in windowed mode.

Workaround:

If this occurs, switch the client to full-screen mode to reestablish Keyboard and Mouse functionality.

Linux Repositories on downloads.teradici.com are deprecated

The Linux repositories that existed on downloads.teradici.com are deprecated and should no longer be used.  Updating a repository located on downloads.teradici.com will produce a certificate error similar to the following:

$ sudo apt-get update

Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The certificate chain uses expired certificate.  Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. [IP: 52.25.54.15 443]

Workaround:

Any references to downloads.teradici.com should be removed. Search for any files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ for "downloads.teradici.com" and delete them.

For example:

$ grep downloads.teradici.com /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

…returns something similar to: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pcoip.list [...]

…remove the file: sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pcoip.list

Once the legacy file is removed, refresh the repository cache. 

sudo apt-get update

Audio does not work when connected to a Remote Workstation Card

Audio in/out is not available when the host is a Remote Workstation Card

Workaround:

Use PCoIP Client version 21.07 if audio functionality is required with the Remote Workstation Card.

AVD Client does not time-out on network disruption

When connected to an RDP session with the AVD client, if the network connection between the client and agent is disrupted the connection does not time-out.

Workaround:

If the network disconnects during an RDP session, close and re-open the PCoIP Client, and re-connect to the session manually.
